Hollandse luchten maken mooie foto's ... en schilderijen. De Hollandse meesters wisten precies hoe ze die typische luchten op het doek moesten krijgen en daar zijn ze wereldberoemd mee geworden. Voor een fotograaf is het een uitdaging om die luchten net zo vol en diep op het scherm te krijgen. Soms zijn er van die dagen dat het meezit met de wolkenlucht. En als het dan ook nog een schilderachtige plek is die een historische uitstraling heeft, dan zijn de ingrediënten compleet. Zoals hier ook op de Ginkelse Heide. Met wat extra pixellation en een ietwat dramatische kleurtoon, heb ik dit beeld 'geschilderd'.

Dutch skies make beautiful pictures ... and beautiful paintings. The Dutch masters of painting knew how to get these typical skies onto the canvas and it made them world famous. For a photographer it is a challenge to produce these deep and full colors on a screen. However, some days the sky is just right. And when it is a picturesque location with a historical character, the ingredients are there. That was the case at the Ginkelse Heide. With a little extra pixellation and a somewhat dramatic tone, I painted this image.
